Myth No. 2

I have passed all tests and they do not show any food allergies. Blood tests and skin allergy tests would have determined it if I had any.

As a matter of fact, the blood and skin tests and screenings can only be an early indication of the allergy. Having received that indication, you must take further steps to diagnose the condition you have.

Myth No. 3

I have diagnosed my/my child’s allergy by myself, excluding the food product from daily ratio.

As with other medical conditions, only a series of tests and a consultation with a doctor may reveal the presence of allergy in your body of in the body of your family member.

Myth No. 4

Food allergy is not a real disease.

It is a real disease with its own risks, effects and impact on a human body.

Myth No. 5

Food allergy and intolerance are just the same.

They are not the same. Food intolerance does not have any signs of allergies. It is just the rejection of specific type of foods, while food allergy causes other symptoms, ranging from rather safe to anaphylaxis.

Myth No. 6

I can get rid of my allergy with the help of some revolutionary treatment.

Wrong! Please, do not attempt to treat your body with new, so-called revolutionary treatment. It can harm your body and get your condition worse. Please use only clinically-approved medicine under the supervision of your medical doctor.

Myth No. 7

Airborne exposure to the smell of the food you are allergic to can cause anaphylaxis.

This statement has never been proved in either of the allergy studies. Moreover, the studies conducted in the US prove the opposite.

Myth No. 10
