Type AB Diet
A and B genes created a mixed specification of AB type. The individuals with this blood type have got low stomach acid, as A type representatives, but they also well adapted to meats – which is characteristic to type B. Still, the meat is not processed really well due to insufficient stomach acid and therefore tends to be stored as fat. Besides, lima beans, corn, buckwheat, or sesame seeds are digested in the same way as with type B individuals.
It is recommended to adhere to tofu, seafood, dairy and green vegetables and refrain from the following products: caffeine, alcohol, smoked or cured meats, as well chicken, which contains lectin that irritates the blood and digestive tracts of type AB individuals. Instead, it is advised to eat more seafood products and various fish such as mahi-mahi, red snapper, salmon, sardines, and tuna. From dairy products yogurt and kefir are very useful and beneficial.
It is in general healthy to eat smaller but frequent meals instead of large but rare ones. This rule is even truer when it comes to type AB. Such regime eliminates digestive problems connected with scarcity of stomach acid and peptic enzymes. Starches and proteins should not be combined in the same meal in order to keep a healthy balance in type AB.
Tofu, as it has already been said, is a good protein supplements for type AB individuals. What concerns nuts, seeds, beans and legumes, they should be eaten with caution and not in large amounts. Dairy products are well tolerated as well as grains, even wheat; still, it should be kept in mind that the inner kernel of the wheat grain is highly acid forming in the muscle for this blood type. More benefit also represents rice rather than pasta.
People with AB blood type have weaker immune system and therefore vegetables are a good option, especially the ones that are rich in phytocheicals, as well as alkaline fruits. However, tomatoes are recommended to be avoided.
