A and B genes created a mixed specification of AB type. The individuals with this blood type have got low stomach acid, as A type representatives, but they also well adapted to meats – which is characteristic to type B. Still, the meat is not processed really well due to insufficient stomach acid and therefore tends to be stored as fat. Besides, lima beans, corn, buckwheat, or sesame seeds are digested in the same way as with type B individuals.

Instead, it is advised to eat more seafood products and various fish such as mahi-mahi, red snapper, salmon, sardines, and tuna. From dairy products yogurt and kefir are very useful and beneficial.

It is in general healthy to eat smaller but frequent meals instead of large but rare ones. This rule is even truer when it comes to type AB. Such regime eliminates digestive problems connected with scarcity of stomach acid and peptic enzymes. Starches and proteins should not be combined in the same meal in order to keep a healthy balance in type AB.
