In any case in order to get the right reason, a women need to undergo a set of tests and the first of them is high vaginal swab test. This will help to define, whether bacterial cystitis or vaginal infections play any role in the condition or not and then move on with the further examinations.
In some women sperm allergy can also be the reason behind pain after sex. If this to be the case, it is likely that painful sensations appear just after the intercourse and not during it.
If a woman is used to birth control pills, she can try to switch to condoms. However, in any case it is necessary to apply for the advice of a gynecologist. With all the necessary tests done it is much easier to find the actual reason for the condition.
In case you still experience pain after sex there are recommendations that may alleviate the condition – try to avoid having sex about a week before and after your period. It is effective to practice kegel exercises to strengthen the pelvic muscles and practice different positions during sex. In case pain still persists, try pain killers but, if nothing helps, do and undergo a medical check and consult a gynecologist.
